We again held our Annual Gathering, at Buckland Hall, an 18th century country house set in its own grounds amidst spectacular Welsh hills. With over 60 acres of gardens, parkland, and miles of country walks, there was plenty of space in which to roam and unwind. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and non-smoking, with shared en-suite rooms and exclusive use of both hall and grounds. Natural spring water was on tap and all meals were vegetarian.
Our Annual Gathering is the highlight of the Association’s year; the chance for members to get together with plenty of time to share Reiki, have fun, talk and simply be together. We always try to invite interesting guests, so people can take the opportunity to deepen their practice through the stories and experience of Masters who’ve spent many years with Reiki.
| We were delighted that our main guest was Phyllis Lei Furumoto who has a unique place as lineage bearer in the system of Usui Shiki Ryoho. Phyllis facilitated the main Gathering as well as the Masters Gathering. |
This was a unique opportunity to share Phyllis's knowledge and experience, and develop your own practice of Reiki within the context of mastership. For those who had never met or worked with Phyllis this event could have been invaluable. Phyllis ensured that full reiki treatments formed an important part of each day’s schedule. The TRA Masters Gathering also provided a rare chance to spend time in the company of fellow Masters. It was open to Masters of all lineages and you didn't need to have any connection with the Association to attend: we cordially invited Masters of all lineages to join us and share our time together. |
| This year we had two additional facilitators with the return of Marta Getty (our special guest 2006), and Kristin Bonney, who together facilitated a Seminar particularly for those with 1st and 2nd level Reiki. | ![]() |
| 'Show gratitude to every living thing' - How does this principle make a difference for us in our spiritual practice/s and in the other 3 aspects of Usui Shiki Ryoho? Together we entered the place of gratitude in our personal lives, in our practice and in our understanding of Reiki. Marta and Kristin offered a short introduction to the Aspects of the System, and there was plenty of opportunity for questions, small group discussions and personal work for both First and Second Degree students. Full treatments were exchanged each day. This event ran from Tuesday evening until Thursday afternoon, alongside the Masters Gathering. |
| The Masters Gathering and Seminar events ran concurrently from Tuesday 23rd October through to Thursday. The main Gathering ran from Friday to Sunday. |
Buckland Hall has overnight accommodation for 68 people, which is normally allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. You may also attend the events without booking accommodation with us. We also offer holiday breaks during the gatherings for friends and partners who may not wish to participate. We are happy to arrange an easy payment method with you individually. We also now take debit and credit cards! |
